PVRR - Pioneer Valley Railroad The Pioneer Valley Railroad is an aggressive, customer oriented short line railroad operating in Western Massachusetts. Formed in 1982, the PVRR directly serves industries in the cities of Westfield and Holyoke. The lines were originally built by the old New Haven Railroad and were owned by Conrail prior to 1982.
